Christian Eckes dominated at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday night after stealing the victory at Kansas Speedway last Saturday.

Corey Heim won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at the last moment and punched his ticket to participate in 2023’s Championship 4 round. The event took place at Bristol Motor Speedway on Thursday Night, September 14.

Corey Heim, 21, was not at the top till the 195th lap of 200-scheduled laps. However, he got the first position in the 195th lap and remained ahead until the last. It means he maintained his place for the final six laps. Corey Heim is from Marietta, Georgia, and fought with seven other playoff competitors the previous night to win and get an automatic spot for the upcoming and most-awaited NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship. This event is scheduled in early November, and the venue is Phoenix Raceway. Heim has methodically improved his position by taking the green flag in 11th place. Now, he is in the position to secure stage points.

Heim was in Eckes’ No. 19 Chevrolet when he forced his way on the 195th lap of the UNOH 200. Ohio Logistics presented UNOH 200. Tanner Gray, Eckes’ TRICON Garage teammate, was outside. Heim completed the race 0.218 seconds before when compared with a disappointed rival.

Corey Heim has won three NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series in the current season. However, he won at Bristol for the first time. Overall, it is his 5th win. Currently, he is the regular-season champion. Now, he is ready to move to the next level. This win has allowed him to participate in the Championship 4 race. The reports confirm this race is scheduled at Phoenix Raceway on November 3.

After the race, Heim talked to the media and said, “This is insane. I felt like I’ve given so many away this year; to win one like that at the end is so special… As I said, we’ve given so many away and finally got one back… Gosh, it’s just so awesome to know we’re in Phoenix.”

On the other, Christian Eckes is also pleased about the effort made by Heim and Gray. He discussed his thoughts after the race in the following words, “I just think it’s ironic that the 15 (Tanner Gray) is three laps down and waited. Whatever. Good truck. I got really tight there at the end… That one stinks, for sure.
