The makers of Jim Sarbh’s hit fiction series ‘Made in Heaven’ took aesthetic inspiration from natural wedding scenes in Indian society, particularly from the homes of Delhi’s aristocratic families.
Interestingly, on Wednesday, Jim referred to Delhiites’ fashion statement while speaking to ANI at Lakme Fashion Week 2023.
“I think Delhi’s elite are very fashion-forward and fashion-conscious.” Since we fit into that world, we would have to be as well,” he remarked, referring to ‘Made in Heaven’.
Jim Sarbh, an Indian actor, has been nominated for an International Emmy for best actor for the smash SonyLIV series “Rocket Boys.”
Sarbh plays Dr. Homi Jahangir Bhabha, credited as the father of India’s nuclear program, in the series conceived by Nikkhil Advani, directed by Abhay Pannu, and produced by Roy Kapur Films and Emmay Entertainment. Ishwak Singh plays Vikram Sarabhai, the pioneer of India’s space research program, alongside him.
Jim was in Delhi for Lakme Fashion Week when he stole the show for designer Samant Chauhan. He walked the runway wearing an ornate chest piece above an ivory cotton silk shirt, jeans, and a dramatic oversized coat. At the gala, he represented Samant’s ‘Ice Watch’ collection.
According to the designer, the collection is inspired by the beauty and fragility of glaciers.
In a statement, Jim described his experience as a muse: “Walking for Samant, in his bespoke creation for Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI, has been an absolute delight.” I felt connected with nature’s elegance as I went down the Atelier. This series pays attention to glaciers and their fragility. It serves as a reminder of the fragile beauty we must love and maintain.”The Lakme Fashion Week will culminate on October 15 at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi Stadium. (ANI)
