Taylor Swift’s “Anti-Hero” music video won the best music video award at MTV Awards 2023. Not only this award, but the night of the awards was full of surprises for many.

After winning the award, Taylor Swift spoke on stage. Her words were, “This is unbelievable. The fact that this is a fan-voted award means so much to me. I can’t believe it was a year ago that I announced the ‘Midnights’ album.”

The venue of the 2023 MTV Music Awards was the Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey. Even before the show, people were expecting it would be Swift’s award. NSYNC were the first presenters on stage. Other performances from K-Pop group Stray Kids, Mexicana star Peso Pluma, and Karol G. The songs were S-Class. Lady Gaga, Ta OK (remix), and Oki Doki. Selena Gomez and Rema got the award for “Best Afrobeats” due to the massive hit of “Calm Down.”

Another important award was taken by Colombian icon Shakira. It was the Video Vanguard Award. She gave the performance of her decades-old hit “She Wolf. She also collaborated with Rauw Alejandro’s “Te Felicito.” She also collaborated with Wyclef Jean for her massive hit “Hips Don’t Lie.” Shakira also appreciated MTV in the following words, “MTV, thank you for being such a big part of my career since I was only 18 years old.”
